Data center builder Crusoe is in talks to raise $3 billion in funding that could value the company at roughly $30 billion, about triple its valuation from a year earlier. Crusoe builds modular data centers for major tech firms including Microsoft, Oracle, OpenAI and Meta, with its flagship project a 1.2-gigawatt facility for OpenAI in Texas. The company has raised $2.77 billion to date and operates its own AI-optimized public cloud platform, with the new funding expected to support expansion of a manufacturing facility that produces prefabricated data center modules.
