SpaceXAI (formerly xAI) released Grok 4.5, its first model developed in partnership with coding startup Cursor, describing it as tuned for coding, agentic tasks and knowledge work rather than casual chat. The model is priced at $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens and is now the default model for Grok Build, the company’s terminal-based coding agent. The Cursor partnership, established in April, could still result in a $10 billion investment or a $60 billion acquisition, though the companies have not disclosed a final decision.
