Anthropic signed a 20-year, $19 billion lease with TeraWulf on July 6, 2026, for a data center campus being built on a former aluminum smelting site in Hawesville, Kentucky. The facility is expected to deliver 401 megawatts of computing capacity by 2028, with initial capacity coming online in late 2027, and TeraWulf plans to invest $3-4 billion in construction. TeraWulf also announced it is selling its stake in a separate Texas data center project to Fluidstack for $450 million.
