SAP has completed its acquisition of Prior Labs, a pioneer of Tabular Foundation Models (TFMs) known for its TabPFN model series. SAP committed to investing more than €1 billion over four years to grow Prior Labs into a frontier AI research lab focused on structured business data, building on SAP’s earlier SAP-RPT-1 model. Prior Labs will continue operating as an independent entity while its models are integrated into SAP’s AI and data stack to let customers query structured data using natural language.
