Google DeepMind released Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber, a specialized AI model fine-tuned from its 3.5 Flash architecture to discover and patch software vulnerabilities efficiently. The model operates exclusively through CodeMender, Google’s AI-powered vulnerability discovery agent, using a multi-agent approach that calls the model multiple times in rapid succession to explore alternative execution paths before compiling a report. In comparative testing on the V8 JavaScript Engine, the model identified 55 unique confirmed vulnerabilities compared to 47 found by mainline Gemini 3.5 Flash and 36 by Claude Opus 4.6. It is currently available only to governments and trusted partners via a limited-access pilot program.
