Autodesk completed its all-cash acquisition of maintenance-management software provider MaintainX on August 3, 2026, its largest deal ever. The company says MaintainX’s real-time data on equipment condition and maintenance history will feed AI systems that manage physical assets, with CEO Andrew Anagnost describing the goal as using “AI to converge digital and physical worlds.” MaintainX will be folded into a new Autodesk Operations Solutions unit, extending Autodesk’s business from design software into ongoing operations and maintenance.
