Anthropic has signed a six-year, $10 billion computing agreement with AI cloud startup Volta, which will supply capacity from a data center in Norway operated with crypto-mining company Bitdeer. The facility will run on Nvidia’s Vera Rubin chips with roughly 121-133 megawatts of capacity, delivered in phases targeting December 2026 and March 2027. The deal is part of Anthropic’s broader push to expand compute capacity, following prior arrangements with SpaceX, Amazon, and Google.
