DeepSeek released V4-Flash, which research firm Artificial Analysis found to be by far the cheapest well-known AI model to run, costing about three cents through its benchmark suite. That compares with 86 cents for Moonshot’s Kimi K3 and $1.86 for OpenAI’s GPT-5.6 Sol. The model scored 50 out of 100 on capability benchmarks, reflecting a tradeoff between its low cost and reduced performance relative to premium models.
