xAI released Grok Imagine Image 2.0 on August 7, adding a magic wand tool, multi-image reference inputs and smart-resize features that work across multiple aspect ratios. The company says the model ranks second globally in both text-to-image generation and image editing on Arena leaderboards, trailing only OpenAI’s gpt-image-2. The update emphasizes region-level editing and includes pre-configured templates for tasks such as product shots and marketing posters, with API access still to be scheduled.
