The Pentagon and Army Human Resources Command have approved autonomous AI agents built on Salesforce’s Missionforce National Security platform to handle administrative tasks involving sensitive unclassified military information, according to Military Times. The platform received Impact Level 5 authorization, the government’s clearance tier for the most sensitive unclassified missions, making the Army’s Human Resources Command the first Department of War organization to deploy the newly authorized system. The agents are expected to handle tens of millions of monthly conversations and routine inquiries for soldiers, veterans, and family members, saving an estimated $6 million a year while human staff focus on complex personnel decisions.
