Nvidia has reportedly agreed to acquire Hugging Face, the widely used open-source AI model hosting platform, in a deal valued at approximately $12.9 billion. The acquisition would deepen Nvidia’s foothold in the open-source AI ecosystem while reinforcing developer reliance on its GPU hardware to run downloaded models.
