AfterQuery, an AI model-training startup that employs professionals such as doctors and lawyers to encode expert decision-making for AI labs, has raised funding valuing it at $3.2 billion, TechCrunch reported September 1, 2026. The round makes AfterQuery the fastest company in Y Combinator’s history to reach unicorn status, roughly 18 months after joining the accelerator’s Winter 2025 batch. The valuation is more than ten times the $300 million mark the company hit five months earlier when it closed a $30 million Series A. AfterQuery counts Nvidia among its clients.
