Arkansas photographer Russell Bloodworth was arrested in June 2026 and charged with roughly 200 counts including possession of child sexual abuse material and unlawful creation of deepfake visual material, after investigators found approximately 1,700 sexually explicit images and videos of his minor photography clients, some allegedly generated using xAI’s Grok chatbot. Several affected families have since sued xAI, alleging the company failed to prevent its image generator from being used to create CSAM despite adversarial prompting. xAI has separately sued Bloodworth, seeking reimbursement for its legal defense costs and alleging he violated its terms of service by repeatedly circumventing Grok’s safety guardrails.
