China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a five-year plan targeting 9,800 exaflops of intelligent computing capacity by 2030, up sharply from a 2025 baseline of 1,590 exaflops. The plan calls for 3.8 trillion yuan (roughly $532 billion) in cumulative infrastructure investment, alongside 5G-Advanced and 6G network buildout and satellite integration. It also emphasizes adapting national computing infrastructure to domestically produced chips.
