Agentic AI IT-service-management company Serviceaide left an Elasticsearch database containing Catholic Health patient records publicly accessible between September 19 and November 5, 2024. The exposed data included names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, medical record and account numbers, health insurance information, prescription and treatment details, and login credentials for roughly 483,000 individuals. Serviceaide said its investigation found no evidence of data copying but could not rule out the possibility, and it later agreed to pay $1.8 million to resolve related litigation.
