Cloudflare unveiled two open-weight decision models, Clef and Clef-flash, positioned to compete with TypeSafe’s recently released Jev model. Unlike Jev, which handles only text-based classification, Cloudflare’s models can process images and video while supporting a 64k context window. Cloudflare’s own benchmarking claims Clef delivers superior accuracy compared to Jev and other open decision models, though it carries a higher price of $0.24 per million tokens versus Jev’s $0.042 per million.
