Researchers have introduced AgentGarten, a framework that pairs simulators and game engines with a shared neural renderer to build real-time interactive training environments for AI agents. The renderer adapts a pretrained video model to geometry conditions using a technique the authors call Adversarial Forcing, letting agents perceive and act within these generated visual worlds. Agents improve by converting each round of experience into reusable playbooks that subsequent agents build on, with the authors reporting meaningful learning after just four rounds compared to the millions of iterations typically required by conventional reinforcement learning baselines.
