SambaNova Systems, an AI chip maker, has raised $1 billion at an $11 billion valuation in the first close of its Series F round, led by General Atlantic. The round comes about five months after the Palo Alto company’s $350 million Series E. Alongside the funding, JPMorgan Chase named SambaNova an inference-infrastructure partner, and the company said it has not ruled out future acquisitions or an eventual public listing.
