AI inference-hardware startup Positron AI announced an $875 million Series C round on September 10, 2026, valuing the company at $5 billion, with the Qatar Investment Authority among the participants. The funding will finance the tapeout of Positron’s next-generation “Asimov” inference chip on TSMC’s N3P process and production of Titan, a high-memory inference system aimed at long-context AI workloads. Positron says its memory-first chip architecture is designed to cut reliance on the constrained HBM and CoWoS supply chains used by rivals like Nvidia.
