South Korea’s AIDIN Robotics closed a KRW16 billion (about $12.1 million) strategic financing round announced September 11, 2026, led by HD Hyundai Robotics and Samsung Venture Investment. The Anyang-based company makes force-torque and tactile sensors that let robots detect how much force they apply when touching an object. With the new capital, AIDIN plans to expand its surface-finishing automation into shipbuilding and co-develop a heavy-duty five-finger robotic hand with HD Hyundai Robotics for shipbuilding and heavy industry.
