Alibaba released Qwen3.8-Max-0902, an updated snapshot of its Qwen3.8-Max foundation model retrained for coding and collaborative-work tasks, TechNode reported September 2, 2026. The refreshed model’s CodeArena score rose 22 points to 1,691, putting it first on the WebDev leaderboard, ahead of Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5. Qwen3.8-Max-0902 keeps its 2.4-trillion-parameter size and 1-million-token context window and is available through Alibaba’s Qwen services, API and QwenCloud.
