Anthropic has announced a CAD $10 million commitment to Canadian artificial intelligence research institutions, establishing partnerships with eight organizations including three major regional AI institutes. The company also released data showing Canada ranks eighth globally in Claude.ai usage, with per-capita adoption more than four times what population size alone would predict. The investment is aimed at supporting beneficial and responsible AI applications across healthcare, safety, and scientific research.
