Anthropic is reportedly in talks to acquire Israeli AI startup Decart for approximately $6 billion, according to people familiar with the discussions. Decart builds AI models for real-time video generation and simulated environments, including a live-video editing model called Lucy and an environment-generation model called Oasis used for robotics and autonomous-driving training. The deal, which has not been finalized, would be Anthropic’s largest acquisition to date and would fold Decart’s team into Anthropic’s inference and performance efforts as the company scales ahead of an anticipated IPO.
