Amsterdam-based Fortaegis raised an oversubscribed $50 million Series A, led by Singapore’s Serendipity Capital, to commercialize chip-based ‘Secure Compute’ security technology for AI, defense, telecommunications, and autonomous systems. The technology uses the unique physical properties of individual silicon chips to generate encryption keys that are never stored on the device, adding a hardware-rooted security layer beneath software. The three-year-old company already works with governments and roughly 25 companies, including ASML, and plans to begin commercial chip manufacturing in 2027.
