Australian AI infrastructure startup Firmus Technologies raised $2 billion in a new funding round, nearly doubling its valuation to $10.5 billion in just four months. The round included follow-on investment from Nvidia, Coatue Management, Blackstone, and Jane Street, up from a roughly $5.5 billion valuation in April. Firmus builds large-scale computing infrastructure for training and running AI models, and will use the capital to expand its Project Southgate data center network across Australia and into the broader Asia-Pacific region, including Indonesia.
