Google parent company Alphabet released Gemini 4 Argon on September 30, 2026, a new AI model built to excel at coding, research, writing, and especially cybersecurity tasks. The model is rolling out initially to select partners through Google’s Fairwind Program, a security-focused initiative, and is designed to autonomously find, validate, and patch critical software vulnerabilities. Google says Argon outperforms competing models from OpenAI and Anthropic across several benchmark metrics.
