Meta has launched Muse Image, an AI feature that lets users generate and edit images within its apps, including creating AI images by tagging public Instagram accounts. Because the feature is opt-in by default for public accounts, strangers can incorporate other users’ photos into AI-generated images without their consent or notification. Instagram users can opt out through their account settings by disabling the option that allows others to reuse their content with Meta’s AI features.
