Meta is expanding its Richland Parish data center supercluster in Louisiana to 5 gigawatts of compute capacity, part of an investment exceeding $50 billion. The company said it will spend more than $1 billion specifically on local infrastructure improvements, including roads, water, and wastewater systems. Meta expects the expanded facility to support more than 1,000 jobs once operational in the community of roughly 20,000 people.
