Microsoft’s Agent Framework has reached general availability for its runtime components. The framework provides a supported harness that handles function invocation, history persistence, context management, approvals, and observability without requiring teams to rebuild this infrastructure. The release includes stable orchestration patterns and connectors for GitHub Copilot SDK and Claude Agent SDK, enabling multi-agent workflows while maintaining unified governance, identity, and policy controls across heterogeneous agent fleets.
