Nvidia has committed $5 billion to Safe Superintelligence (SSI), the AI startup founded by former OpenAI chief scientist Ilya Sutskever, providing access to its Vera Rubin hardware platform. The investment marks a shift for SSI away from Google’s tensor processing units toward Nvidia’s GPU ecosystem. Despite reaching an estimated $30 billion valuation, SSI continues to operate with substantial secrecy and has yet to release any public product or generate reported revenue.
