OpenAI has raised its projected compute spending through 2030 to roughly $750 billion, up from about $600 billion earlier this year, according to a Wall Street Journal report. The increase coincides with a new $20 billion data center project in Georgia. OpenAI’s infrastructure commitments involve partners including Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon Web Services and CoreWeave, alongside hardware suppliers Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom. CEO Sam Altman has said he expects AI to become ubiquitous, underpinning the company’s aggressive capital expenditure plans.
