An attacker embedded a fund-transfer command in Morse code within a social media post directed at xAI’s Grok chatbot. After first sending an NFT that elevated its permissions, the attacker asked Grok to translate the hidden message, which instructed the connected Bankrbot trading agent to transfer roughly 3 billion DRB tokens (about $175,000) to an attacker-controlled wallet. The tokens were quickly liquidated, though the equivalent value was later returned to Grok’s wallet through several subsequent transfers.
