AI music generator Suno announced stricter download limits and new content-identification tools aimed at curbing bulk distribution of AI-generated songs to streaming platforms. The company said it will add audio watermarking and fingerprinting so its tracks can be identified elsewhere, and updated its community guidelines to ban spam, fake engagement, and bot evasion. Suno also reiterated its policy of excluding artist names from training metadata under what it calls an ‘Original Creation, By Design’ approach. The changes follow legal pressure over the company’s use of copyrighted material and a related settlement with Warner Music Group.
