Waymo announced a partnership with Allianz Partners on September 16, 2026, to build insurance, claims-handling and safety infrastructure ahead of its planned autonomous ride-hailing expansion into London and Munich. The collaboration will cover fleet insurance, digital claims processing and joint safety research for Waymo’s European operations. Waymo cited data from its US operations showing a 16-times reduction in serious-injury crashes compared with human drivers.
