Elon Musk said xAI plans to release Grok 4.6, a 1.5-trillion-parameter model, around August 7, 2026. The company describes the model as featuring significantly improved supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning intended to boost reasoning and instruction-following performance. xAI is reportedly planning a larger 2.1-trillion-parameter successor, Grok 4.7, for release several weeks later.
