Anthropic has launched Claude Code and Claude Cowork in public beta for Claude for Government Desktop, delivered within a FedRAMP High authorized environment. The tools let public sector agencies build and modernize software systems and delegate administrative work such as memo drafting and RFP reviews to Claude. The release includes governance features that let administrators set department-level spending controls and maintain audit logs aligned with government appropriations and authorization processes.
