Chinese robotics firm UBTECH unveiled its U1 Series on July 1, 2026, a full-sized consumer humanoid robot positioned as an AI household companion with 88 joints and emotional AI capabilities. The company said it had secured over 11,000 pre-orders since pre-orders opened June 2, with three pricing variants ranging from about $17,600 to $145,000. UBTECH plans to begin shipments on September 16.
