SkyPilot, a startup cofounded by Databricks cofounder Ion Stoica and Zongheng Yang, announced on July 21, 2026 that it raised $20 million in seed funding led by Lux Capital. The company helps AI teams manage compute across hyperscalers, neoclouds, and different GPU generations through a single vendor-neutral control layer. Cofounder Zongheng Yang said customers frequently see more than 10% utilization gains on existing GPU investments.
