British defence startup Agon has emerged from stealth with $30 million in funding to build virtual training environments for AI-powered autonomous weapons systems. Founded by former Anduril director Tristam Constant and Junaid Hussain, the London-based company raised a $7 million pre-seed round from Lakestar, 201 Ventures, and D3, followed by a $23 million seed round from XYZ, Lux Capital, and Northzone. Agon’s synthetic battlefield platform lets defence companies and governments train counter-drone weapons and other autonomous systems at scale, addressing Europe’s push for sovereign AI defence infrastructure.
