World Labs, the AI startup founded by Fei-Fei Li, has acquired SceniX, a robotics-simulation company founded by Columbia University professors Yunzhu Li and Changxi Zheng. SceniX builds high-fidelity, learning-based simulation environments that let robots practice manipulation and interaction before those skills are deployed on physical hardware. The acquisition pairs SceniX’s simulation technology with World Labs’ Marble platform, which generates persistent 3D environments from text, images, or video, to advance training pipelines that move learned robot behavior from simulation into the real world.
