Jeff Dean, Google’s longest-serving and most influential executive, is departing the company alongside fellow researchers Sanjay Ghemawat, Quoc Le, and Oriol Vinyals to establish Discovery Loop, a public benefit corporation. The startup aims to use AI to accelerate scientific research by automating experimental and engineering processes. The venture has secured funding from Alphabet, Radical Ventures, and Khosla Ventures.
