Sword Health, a $4 billion AI-driven health company, agreed to acquire meditation and mental health app Headspace in an all-cash deal worth up to $300 million, the companies confirmed on September 16, 2026. The deal combines Sword’s clinical AI Care platform with Headspace’s reach of over 100 million users across 200 countries and 20,000 enterprise clients. The transaction is expected to close in early Q4 2026, with the combined company aiming to offer integrated mental health, musculoskeletal, women’s health and cardiometabolic care.
