Amazon began rolling out its Alexa+ AI assistant in India on September 16, 2026, with support for Hindi and English, including mid-sentence language switching. The assistant is available to all customers during an early-access period and will be free for Prime members afterward, with non-Prime users paying about ₹2,000 ($20.85) monthly. It can handle multi-step tasks like grocery ordering and smart-home control, extending a rollout that already covers the U.K., Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, and Germany.
