Reddit announced it will discontinue RSS feed support on November 13, 2026, and will close public API access for third-party apps by March 2027, citing large-scale AI scraping and automated abuse. The company will also restrict Old Reddit access to moderators and to users who have signed in within the past 90 days. Reddit said it will stop accepting new API requests on October 31, 2026, and begin cutting off unregistered third-party apps starting January 12, 2027. Moderators can migrate RSS-based alerts to a Discord Relay app, but Reddit said there is no replacement for users who relied on RSS for feeds outside communities they moderate.
