Act Security, founded by former executives of healthcare cybersecurity company Medigate, has emerged from stealth with $60 million in funding to address cloud access risk by analyzing identity permissions and network connections together rather than issuing standalone alerts. Team8 and Bessemer Venture Partners led a $20 million seed round, while Notable Capital led a $40 million Series A. The platform places particular emphasis on curbing the excessive permissions often inherited by AI agents operating inside enterprise cloud environments.
