Broadcom is negotiating with lenders including Apollo Global Management and Blackstone to raise more than $60 billion in debt, with the total package potentially reaching $100 billion, to finance AI chip production for Anthropic and other customers. The financing would be structured through a special-purpose vehicle with junior and senior debt tranches. The deal extends the AI XPV partnership formed in June, which aims to finance more than 20 gigawatts of AI computing power by 2028, after an earlier $35 billion round already funded Anthropic’s compute expansion.
