The country has also accused Anthropic of misconduct amid an ongoing dispute over alleged distillation of Claude’s capabilities, reflecting escalating tensions over frontier AI export controls. The dialogue is expected to take place ahead of a planned Xi Jinping state visit to the United States in late September.
