Databricks has secured $5 billion in funding at a $190 billion valuation in a round led by Coatue, with participation from Blackstone, MGX, and T. Rowe Price Associates. The San Francisco-based company has exceeded a $7 billion annualized revenue run rate with more than 80% year-over-year growth, and plans to invest the new capital in AI agent products including Lakebase, Genie, and Unity AI Gateway. CEO Ali Ghodsi attributed the momentum to enterprise demand for agents that work across a business, as rising AI computing costs push clients toward cost-control solutions.
