Meta has quietly become one of Microsoft’s largest AI customers, spending hundreds of millions of dollars a year to access AI models through Microsoft’s Azure Foundry marketplace, according to Bloomberg. Meta reportedly consumes trillions of tokens weekly through the platform. Microsoft’s biggest Foundry customers also include ByteDance, Adobe, Perplexity and Sierra, while OpenAI separately accounts for about 70% of Microsoft’s overall AI revenue, highlighting the concentration of major customers behind AI infrastructure spending.
