Sapiom, a San Francisco startup, raised $35 million in Series A funding on August 5, 2026 to reduce the cost of running AI agents by routing requests to the cheapest model capable of handling each task. The company says it has processed over 270 million transactions since launching and achieved a tenfold reduction in API costs for one customer, Polsia. Anthropic, one of the model providers whose bills Sapiom aims to reduce, participated in the funding round alongside other investors.
